WHAT WE DO
HOSPITALITY AND SUPPORT
We support the successful settlement of refugees in Australia through our Living in Australia program (LAP), which invites refugees to spend a week living in a Sunshine Coast home while involved in learning activities designed to help them understand their new social and living environment.
We sponsor settlement of refugee families on the Coast through the Community Refugee Integration and Settlement Program (CRISP). In these activities we have committed involvement from many people who volunteer as hosts, in the LAP classroom, or to mentor and support our CRISP family.
We also work with Sunshine Coast schools and businesses who generously lend us their facilities, reduce costs, or provide other support.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
We publish the monthly e-newsletter Buddies Bulletin, our Facebook page and website.
We visit Sunshine Coast schools to support students learning about refugees and people seeking asylum.
FUNDRAISING
\We raise funds for services assisting refugees and people seeking asylum. Services we support through our fundraising include those providing legal support, financial support, employment skills, accommodation, medical treatment and social integration.

You are welcome to attend our meetings at “Connections on King”, corner of King St and Gloucester Rd, Buderim. Meeting dates are announced in the Buddies Bulletin. Download or subscribe to the Bulletin from the website.
